Mumbai Meri Jaan

People in Mumbai are proud of this city and very proudly chant that its “Amchi Mumbai “ …
Really its amchi Mumbai ..bole to hamaari Mumbai …
Earlier this phrase signified the indomitable and undying spirit of mumbaikars in dealing with the problems and in nurturing the city. However now the situation is somewhat different. I must say Its still amchi Mumbai but this claim is being taken in wrong ways . Sometimes it appears that “BHAI LOG “ owns this place and sometimes I feel its MNS’ Mumbai …..but I was proved wrong .. Apart from these 2 grps there is another group who has taken shelter in this benevolent city… and every now then this group is taking Mumbai City under their directions and control . ..yess its terrorist groups…its all on their wish when they decide to attack and put the entire Mumbai dance to their tunes…It seems there are two kinds of terrorist here---internal terrorism being led by RajThakrey and Bhai log and External terrorism led by ISI and Pakistan…
· I feel sometimes that how do people waste this valuable life in venting ire in such a way that finally they are not alive to see others mourning over the losses….there is no demand and no problems raised ….its hust mayhem and destruction of all the valuable property and gods greatest gift ‘LIFE’

Mumbai has given a platform to everyone to prosper and instead of being opportunistic, people are wasting time and energy in demolishing all these.

This outpour of feelings was instigated by recent terror attack in Mumbai …which people are comparing to 9/11 of America…

Salute to martyrs and abuse to both kinds of terrorists in Mumbai . The dream to see Mumbai as shanghai of India cannot come true in wake of such gruesome events happening again and again…lets pray for “AMchi Mumbai “

Weeked Blast @Mumbai,Dabol,Ratnagiri,Guhagar

It feels so good when we live the life the way it is meant to be lived. Living every moment in such a way that every passing moment says that it was lived more than it expected.

Its 7 days after the glorious weekend we had, but so successful and refreshing it was that every bit of it is still placed in back drop of my memory.

1st October 2008 Wednesday

After too many hiccups Rinkesh finally reached F-902 Cosmos, our home in pune. I wonder  how he manages to goof up so often . This time also he disturbed two flats before  finally reaching our home.

2nd October 2008 Thursday

It started on Thursday morning –thanks to our beloved Bapu .. we got holiday J Our first milestone was supposed to be  Water Kingdom in Mumbai which is the Asia’s  largest water park. We boarded Deccan Queen for Mumbai  and reached Dadar at 10 AM .

Finally we reached Marwar ,from where we were supposed to take the ferry to Esselworld/WaterKingdom .Excitement was at its pick and finally my long cherished wish to visit this place was about to turn into reality. You really need to stay happy based on fulfillment of even such small ,short term wishes.

So clad with our shorts (only shorts) we 5 jumped into the kingdom of water. Everywhere either there were people or water..There were several types of artificial beaches ,but none attracted us as we wanted value for our money. Finally our hunt for thrilling water slide ended and we had 3 Multicoloured slides facing us ..seemed like danger risk and challenge all three combined is waiting for us.

So reluctantly I went upstairs to “get returns for our investments” as per paali, rinkesh, dhote and Shahji. Finally when this seemingly never ending sojourn  on slide came to end ,I was thankful to God that I came out alive out of it. Later, being more fearless I tried my luck in all such slides.

At 5 PM we were almost done with browsing  through  entire kingdom and were ready to go back home. Legs still floating ,hands still waving and heart filled with joy for rest of the evening

3rd October 2008

Next day was MumbaI Darshan by Ankur and raunak Guide and some shopping at Fashion Street or more suitably should be called as Bargain Street

Even before we reached Dabol our Vacations were valued. But little did we know that next two days will be  twice as much fun as previous 2 days…Will update soon, as my lapy ..oops company laapy is discharging and is counting its last breath…

4th October 2008

Dabol/Ratnagiri/Guhagar

At 6 AM our bus reached Dabol. Monika, neha and richin were the first to welcome us .Gupta jee and mitisha were busy in dreaming about ***** and ****** respectively. It was perfect transformation of lifestyle and density of population from Mumbai to Dabol. In Mumbai you won’t find place to land ur feet where as in Dabol u won’t find enough feet. Everybody knows everyone in this small town .There are hardly 70 families residing there and they live like one big family. I could sense  pin drop silence maintained there and sweet kukoo of koyal and chirping of birds spelt magic.

So, amidst beautiful and enchanting  atmosphere we got greeted by Uncle, aunt and bhaiya .We got ready in 3 hrs or so and started off to roam around Dabol. There is a well maintained  recreation club ,Gym Swimming pool and lawn tennis court. It can be called as developed  village of India J

Then we went to Jetty and power plant(RGPPL) .I won’t prove my absence of mind by uttering anything about these places,. as I was overwhelmed with information and I messed it up all. L

Then to Guhagar beach 6 KM from Dabol. A perfect place to relax and chill. Far from city ,far from tensions it’s a delight for heart and soul. At evening it was as sensuous as it can get .Sexy place.

5th October 2008

Next day visited chamunda temple .Then we played cricket in front of Neha’s home .It was great playing after a long gap. in evening we packed our boriya bistar and headed towards PUNE. Reached post mid night …Wonderful 4 days of my life .

Now its Diwali time and celebrations are in full swing.Happy Diwali .

Lift Dilemma(Contd)

Well to continue where I left of…When u enter a lift and find urself with a person of opposite sex…Here a person starts thinking of his bolly or holly or tolly flicks…and try to imagine what was done in movies to break the ice..He wants to talk..he wants to start a conversation..but at the same time he wants to do in perfect way. What would be the ideal conversation starters here..

While thinking all these he looses 2-3 floors …Now next thing which can happen is that another person will come and will disturb the execution of all the killer ideas..and u will once again be left with unfulfilled desires..Or else in case if its ur day then who knows u start of the talking and will cherish this short meeting for rest of the day .
So wish u all all the best for next adventure in lift.

And will post about the weekend@Dhabol updates soon.

How weekend have changed !

Being a localite during engineering days there was never a craze for weekend. There was no difference in normal day of week and weekend apart from the fact that college was off….I mean there used to be no planning or so..There was no excitement as such and no wait for it. It was sometimes considered as boring as college was more fun…..So what used to be agenda for weekends in those days..to give a helping hand at home, some pending assignments and lots of sleep… And if u are lucky then there might be some classes in weekend…damn I got the importance of college life in last few days of final year of engineering ..
Anyways, So what is the change now.  Change is huge…really huge…change of city, change of lifestyle and a total change of outlook towards weekend…J Now weekends are being awaited right from Sunday night ..Ya I haven’t written anything wrong….As Sunday night  ends there  is that reluctance to go to sleep..because everybody knows at the other end of the sleep is the “Monday morning” When you are expected to be on job for next 5 continuous days….
So from  Monday itself planning starts for the next weekend…really ,earlier we never have thought of planning any thing so much in advance …But now we want to make most of these two golden days of the week…We don’t want to waste any part of it. Nights are most important ..Be it Friday night or Saturday night …to be at bed before 3-4 AM is considered sin…All pending entertainment needs to be completed as if there is a deadline given by boss. And really this gets completed on priority.:)
Any new movie released…though it is So-So and rated as” ** “we make it a so called “one time watch “…and If there is anything missed to be watched in multiplex …LAN  and internet downloading is always there…It seems bollywood makes most of its paisa on weekends by having masses like us thronging towards  multiplexes  paying at double the normal rates .It seems like we have 5 Day week..they have 2 day week J
Then there are discos, nitouts planed at old coll guys homes, out of town picnic, birthday bash, playing cards….…I never knew that there are scores of things to do for weekends…And ofcourse if u u have GF/BF then options just gets doubled  J

The Other Side Of Pain--written by anonymous(meant for Only GSITS college CS Departmen)

This is dedicated to CS dept of GSITS...somebody has written very well about dear CHACHU of GS....

What could be the height of absurdity? Well, it's that indomitable maestro whose popularity continues to grow at an unprecedented rate. He is notorious for victimizing his students to the pandemic termed as 'incurable psychological torture'. His favorite pastime is creating paradoxical statements. Erratic behavior seems to have some ancestral relations with him. You may miss his pseudo-important four hour class just because you are late by few minutes with acceptance of awful humility and in the very same lecture you may even have a graceful invitation after 2 hours. Even after attending 85% of his lectures you may find your name in shortlist while the permanent absentees may have no problem at all. This full time energetic man puts his heart to explain his topic but it's not different if you get nothing out of it. All his department mates are fed up of his irritating behavior but nobody has guts to utter even a single word. He believes in wearing only two dresses throughout his life. Despite all his brutal assaults, it is his paper leaking skill with subsequent sample answers that makes him so much famous among all.

Some say he is a demon, some say he is a coconut with very tough outer surface and some say he is an unbearable pain. But has anybody ever tried to look inside his head. They just complain that he bores them for long hours but nobody notices that during that hours he speaks continuously even without a brake. Nor does he even sit for a while. They never see what a great risk he takes for his students. He cares more than you for your degree. Nobody is ever failed or detained in his subject. He wants you to be with him for long hours solely because he is sick of his loneliness. He is an unmarried guy and to fight this pain which haunts him throughout his life he has disguised the cover of an angry humiliating beast. He sees his unborn children in his students. He loves you. He cares for you. He fights for you against all odds. What if he is a little strange? What if he is a little irritating? Who cares?

Linguistic affinity

Shalom!!

Imagine urself stuck in a place where your  understanding abilities are challenged and u always gets defeated again and again, where your participating desires are suppressed  and though being outgoing in nature you cant speak up and  when you are forced to act like dumb .

In our motherland of diversities this is commonplace. I often get stuck in between two Marathi speaking friends and damn my luck…I am forced to be a mute spectator..i wonder sometimes ,are they abusing me . ..what the hell are they talking about …its not only with marathi …Gujrati and south Indian languages also supersede hindi.

You feel like banging ur head to the wall…Few months back I was in Canada  ..and in office I got a seat in the cube with other three corners occupied by ladies…ohh …that was obviously not the problem…

But the problem was that they were Israelis and once they start talking in “Hebrew” ..there was no stopping ..i could just hear one thing …blah blah and  blah …..no offences…..

Even In office when there is discussion over technical issues…marathi people switch to marathi so easily….to add to my woes I can still hear Marathi discussions going on in background…..

MNS is trying to replace every signboard in Maharashtra to display in marathi language. The only advantage I can see from this is that we will be forced to learn a new language and it will add to our resume .Though eventually it wont impact any thing at all.

There are no offences towards any language ,but just the trauma of a person knowing only a single language(apart from English)—HINDI

Toda(Thanks in Hebrew)

P.s.  shalom in starting is the way to say hello in Hebrew…….

Lift Dilemma

There are millions of thoughts overwhelming my mind when I spend few minutes of my daily life in Elevator. I always wonder what others are thinking while waiting for their destination. I am not sure of thoughts but I can say there is a definite pattern of gestures inside a lift.
Lets start from the time we enter in the lift..Here person applies umpteen efforts to find a wall to lean on..he will go straight or to either leftmost or rightmost corner of elevator..Standing in between and being monitored by others is the least thing one wants while in lift …
So if he is lucky he gets that coveted comfort corner in lift. Now starts the eternal wait for destined floor. Now there is a programmed mind which runs in a loop during which one looks up to the panel which indicates the floor status…and then again looks somewhere else. It seems as if one is learning the counting numbers or for that matter checking that lift is doing it correctly..
A common Mistake…
This mistake would have been committed by everyone at least once… Dropping out to the floor where u didn’t wished to and then being reminded by friends accompanying that this is not our ‘s and the laughter that is bound to follow..You can’t do anything but sheepishly smile J
There are times when you are stuck with only one person of opposite sex in the lift…..With this I stop over here….. J

Title scarcity

What has happened to indian film industry. Where has all the creativity and innvovation gone. Some people might have objections over this comment of mine in view of some splendid hits bollywood has given off late.So why am i then objecting to Directors capabilities.
Here I am talking about the creativity and innovation in choosing the title of the movie. It seems there are not enough choices available.
Say for example ...we already have movies named after 3 days of weeks (Sunday ,Wednesday and Black Friday)Other directors should catch on their feet before all days of week are snatched..:) Lest you will have to rely on months of year...There too they can have tough time ..we have 11 remaining as December is the only month chosen so far by the directors.
Even, directors arent ashamed of repeating the titles..They think by adding some extra redundant charaters to the tiltle they are adding colors to the old name ..
Karzzzz...for example...no matter how many of those z's you add it will be called as copy and nothing else.Ckkompany...i dont know what is being tried here....when u have such a hard time in pronouncing a movie properly, who will take pains to watch such a god damn movie...
If everything else is used up then directors use their trump card ..the word "Mumbai" .They have all kinds of words appended or prefixed to this golden word..Bombay ,Mumbai salsa ,Mumbui Matinee,Mumbai Meri Jaan...and many more...
I think now time has come for bolly directors to give an emphasis on title also. Many a time the decision to watch a movie is turned negative after just hearing the title itself ..Just to change sholay to aag(which itself is a name of an old movie) wont result in fireworks at Box Office.

Thoughts of Dying

The unfair thing about life is the way it ends. I mean, life is tough it takes up a lot of your time. What do u get in the end of it?A death.I think life cycle should be all backwards. You should die first:start out dead; get it out of the way. You wake up in an old age home, feeling better every day. You get kicked out for being healthy; go collect your pension. Then when you start work you get a gold watch on very first day. You work 40 years until you are young enough to njoy ur retirement .You drink alcohol you enjoy parties you are generally promiscuous (Hey you have only got a few years left whats the big deal)And u get ready for high school. Then u go to primary school, you become a kid you play you have no responsibilities. And finally you become a baby .The last step you spend your last nine months floating peacefully with luxuries like central heating spa, room service on tap, larger quarters every day and then …you finish off as an orgasm …
